Disaster Recovery

Houston, we have a problem :-(

We all hope it will never happen to us. But sometimes it does. We need to recover all the data we have backed up.

• Hard disc stops working.
• Computer is stolen.

What do I do ?

Recovering all your data to a different PC is all part of the Securing Data Simply service.

• Download the backup software installer to your new PC.
• Install the software, connecting to your existing backup account. You will need the Group name, User name, Password and Encryption key.
• Complete the configuring of the backup software so that your soon to be restored data is backed up.
• Restore all the files in the same way you would restore one file.

Can I get support ?

This all sounds complicated. Can I get support?

• It is not complicated, but we can understand you may not be confident about doing this.
• Contact the Support Desk and we will help you with the new install and restore.

Things to remember

• You must have your User name, Password and Encryption key.
• We can not look up the Password and Encryption Key for you. We can not reset them for you. If you forget them then you can not restore your data.
• You can not use two PCs at the same time on the one account.
